Eat all your carbs in before the afternoon. Try this:
Eat a high protein breakfast. (eggs, wheat toast or bagel, juice.)
Eat whatever you desire for lunch. Italian is good because of the high carb count. You need carbs, as Fat Tony says. However, in a weight loss diet, you want to eat them early in the day so you burn them off before you go to bed.
For dinner, go back to all protein. Chicken, fish, veggies, steak, etc. If you snack, eat fruits and veggies and drink plenty of water. Your on the right track with the cardio, and following a diet like this will help you get there.
